Happy new year Alum! As many of you know, this is an exciting time to be an entrepreneur in Chicago. Over the past few months, I have been working diligently to connect the Princeton start-up community here in Chicago to build out the Chicago Chapter of PEN (Princeton Entrepreneur Network).

With such a great alumni presence, and so many Tiger Entrepreneurs doing amazing things here in Chicago, I would like to bring our great alumni community together to provide Princetonians with opportunities to work in mentor, fund or start up new ventures.

The Princeton Entrepreneurs' Network of Boston will be holding a networking event with the 110 finalists in the world's largest global startup competition, the MassChallenge. The MassChallenge competition accelerates the development and success of high-growth, high-impact new businesses, while stimulating job creation across the Commonwealth and beyond. Finalists were selected from an initial group of 440 entrants from 26 countries and 24 states that began the competition in April.

Publishing Industry Lecture with Dr. Nancy Rappaport '82

Come join PEN to learn about the publishing industry and how to get your book published. Featured in The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Nancy Rappaport '82 will discuss the process from finishing the manuscript to getting her book published. She will then share her work on marketing the book following publication, including working with a publicist, doing dozens of TV and radio interviews, presenting at professional conferences and workshops, and writing and blogging for many publications.
