2009 Business Plan Competition
Have you wondered what new ventures are likely to succeed in spite of the bad economy? Do you want to meet the business leaders of tomorrow? If so then you should attend the Princeton Entrepreneurs' Network of Boston's 2009 Business Plan Event.
Meet and hear the three selected finalists from a noteworthy pool present their business plans. Listen to feedback from seasoned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other service providers.
This year's finalists are (in alphabetical order):
- Chemwise - collecting, selling and recycling new and used laboratory chemicals and supplies commonly found in laboratories across the United States.
- mPedigree Logistics - providing the opportunity for anyone in a developing nation to validate their drugs before use with a simple text message.
- Tempting Turnip - a healthy foods brand with a new concept of fresh, natural, healthy soups.
This year's judges will be:
- Mark Donovan '90, Venture Partner, Salix Ventures - A health care venture capitalist, Mark has been involved in the health care industry, both as an investor and operator.
- Dr. Hikyu Lee *76 *80, President and Chief Executive Officer, Softlinx - An experienced entrepreneur, Hikyu founded Softlinx after being president and CEO of Samsung Software America.
- Andy Mims '95, Principal, ABS Ventures - A mid-stage technology venture capitalist, Andy has an emphasis on education, new media and business services.
This year's prizes are:
- $500 cash
- Entry directly as a finalist in the national Princeton Entrepreneurs' Network Business Plan Contest
- $2,000 in legal services from Swiggart & Agin
- $500 in consulting services from Adz Group
- A guaranteed pitch meeting with venture capital firm .406 Ventures
