One of the most powerful assets for start-ups is media exposure – which can not only generate the much-needed market awareness that a young company seeks, but can also provide a boost to its credibility and pursuit of other business initiatives.

However, getting that media coverage is the trick. While PR is often more art than science – since you are at the mercy of publishing timelines, news cycles, and other elements beyond your control – there are definitely some best practices to follow. And you can increase your success rate even more if you tailor your pitching to the specific media outlets – and press contacts – who you are targeting.

With representatives from various media segments, this press panel will provide some perspective on who you are actually pitching. They’ll share what protocols are best to follow when pitching their media outlets, and what types of storylines they find most compelling.

When you leave, you’ll have all of the tools to be a PR superstar – and land some of the much coveted press coverage that will secure that next round of funding, spark the interest of a profitable partner, or help land that next big client.
