Raising Finance in the UK: OCTOBER 25, 2004

Princeton and UK Entrepreneurs speak on the subject of raising finance in a challenging environment.: Isaiah Cox '94 is President of Borealis Exploration, Chorus Motors, Cool Chips and Power Chips, all public limited companies headquartered in Gibraltar. The companies have never received government or venture financing, and went public without paying a single IPO fee. Isaiah was one of the founders of the technical companies, and holds over half a dozen US patents.

Francesco di Valmarana ’90 is a founding Partner of DN Capital, where he concentrates on network infrastructure and software investments. He led the Fund’s investment in MoreMagic Inc., Empower Interactive, and Kaidara SA, and is a board director of Empower Interactive. Francesco was previously with Advent International where he was involved in European new media and internet investment opportunities.

Simon Rogerson is one of the founders of Octopus Asset Management, and he sits on the investment committees of the BioScience and the Phoenix VCTs, as well as representing Octopus on the VCT managers' forum. Guy Myles, Head of Investment at Octopus, was head of one of the sector research groups on the global equity team at Mercury Asset Management, managing in excess of $1 billion.

Speakers will be followed by a round table discussion, wine and snacks.

The UK chapter of Princeton EN is up and running – so whether you live in the UK or just want an excuse to visit London, we invite you to join us!

We are delighted that the London office of Covington & Burling is continuing to support our chapter and will be hosting our second event.

The UK chapter of Princeton EN offers a great opportunity for Princetonians who are living, working, and studying here to explore their interest in entrepreneurship and share the knowledge and contacts that they have developed.
