Dwight McKay is the Director of Systems Engineering in Purdue University's Rosen Center for Advanced Computing, a business unit of Purdue's overall IT services group, ITaP.


In his current role, he manages the team responsible for operating Purdue's high performance computation, large scale storage and visualization resources. Dwight's team consists of 17 fulltime systems professionals, including a technical architect and senior storage engineer. The systems managed by this team support local, national and international research efforts in several scientific and engineering disciplines.

Dwight received an AB in Psychology from Princeton University and has written two books on systems administration.

Dwight lives in West Lafayette, IN with his wife, Mary McKay, DVM and two daughters. Dwight enjoys bicycling, and photography. He is a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

About my company:

The Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC) is a research computing center at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. It is named in memory of Saul Rosen, who served as director of Purdue's Computing Center from 1968 to 1987, and who helped to establish Purdue as a pioneering academic institution in high performance computing.

RCAC is the research arm of ITaP, the Information Technology at Purdue organization. RCAC provides advanced computational resources and services to support Purdue faculty and staff researchers. RCAC also conducts its own research and development to enhance the capabilities of these resources.
