Nick Napoli received his Ph.D. in Art History, specializing in baroque art and architecture with an emphasis on the city of Naples, in 2003.  Since then, he has been an active teacher and researcher.  He has taught art history and expository writing at Rutgers, the University of York (UK), the University of Virginia, Bard College, the City College of New York, and the Pratt Institute.  He is currently writing a book on the art and architecture of the Carthusian monastery in Naples, the Certosa di San Martino.
